Transfiguration School, a vital part of Transfiguration Parish, was founded in 1949 by the Carmelite Fathers. Their mission is to provide students with the highest quality academic and spiritual education, and it has become our tradition. Today Transfiguration School is regarded as one of Westchester's finest elementary schools. The belief of the Carmelite Fathers, that academic excellence in an environment of faith produces competent, caring Christians, continues to be fundamental to our success.
Situated in historic Tarrytown, and accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges and the New York State Department of Education, Transfiguration attracts a diverse group of students from across the lower Hudson Valley.

The Parish School of Religion provides religious instruction for students grades K- 8, who reside in the area of the parish, but do not attend a Catholic school. The program goals are to teach students the beliefs and philosophy of Catholics, as well as provide an example for Christian life. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
